PINEY CUSTOM Surf Craft

  • The Custom Journey: Our Process

Building your dream board follows a refined four-step process to ensure the final product exceeds your expectations.

    1. The Consultation: We start with a deep dive into your surfing. Where do you paddle out? What are you riding now? What do you want to feel under your feet?

    2. The Digital or Hand-Shape: Using the insights from our chat, we create the "plug." Whether using precision CNC 3D modeling or traditional hand-shaping, we refine the rails, rocker, and foil.

    3. Lamination & Art: This is where the board gains its strength and soul. Select your glassing weight and add custom resin tints, decals, or fabric inlays.

    4. The Hand-Off: Your board is cured, polished, and ready. Pick it up at the bay or have it securely crated and shipped to your door.

    Design Considerations

When ordering, you’ll have total control over the technical specifications. Not sure what you need? We’ll guide you through:

    • Dimensions & Volume: We balance length, width, and thickness to ensure the board paddles like a dream without sacrificing maneuverability.

    • Tail Shapes: Choose from a Squash (versatile), Swallow (speed/bite), Round (smooth transitions), or Pin (hold in big surf).

    • Fin Setup: Traditional Single-fin, Twin-fin speed, the standard Thruster, or the grip of a Quad. We offer both FCSII and Future systems.

    • Materials & Glassing: * Standard: 4oz + 4oz deck / 4oz bottom (light/pro).

      • Strong: 6oz + 4oz deck / 6oz bottom (durable/daily driver).

      • Construction: Choice of traditional PU (Polyurethane) for classic flex or EPS/Epoxy for extra buoyancy and "pop."

Have something else in mind? We'd be happy to work with you to create a custom board.

Four surfboards with navigational charts standing upright against a blue corrugated metal wall and resting on a striped fabric on gravel ground.
Several white paddleboards with topographical and navigational maps on their surfaces are arranged in a workshop, with a cluttered workbench, window air conditioning units, framed pictures, and various tools in the background.
Four surfboard-shaped maps laid out on a concrete floor, with a backpack and chairs nearby, and sunlight creating shadows on the floor.
